I'm not talking about the tiny hoses that connect mid-way down the pipes, I'm talking about the large diameter hoses for connecting the pipes to the throttle body, the "intake couplers". I received a 2.75" diameter, about 3" length hose, and another 3.5" diameter, also about 3" length hose. I believe I should have received TWO 2.75" diameter hoses. I had to go to Autozone to get a 3" and just make it work by clamping it down hard to fit the 2.75" diameter pipe.. In fact, I bought this exact item.

My Autozone didn't have any in store, but on the Autozone website I saw that K&N seems to have some 2.75" diameter rubber hoses which seem like they'd fit perfectly.
Obsidian, thanks for clearing the hose confusion up, I was wrong on that as well, thought we were all talking about the ones that fit on midway down, or should I say don't really fit on Ed from R2C just emailed me :

"I had an e-mail message regarding someone that received the wrong size hose connector. It was over 3" diameter rather than the 2.75".

Could you ask whoever this was to contact me. I'll send the correct hose and reimburse the owner for any expense incurred buying the correct sized hose connector."

Regards,
Ed

Oh, OK, so far I think Red is the only one that has done a dyno and that was vs. Stillen Gen 3, not stock. 370Z's are damn nice, if they had a backseat I prob would have gotten one.

Ok, gotta bump this... R2c has rectified the hose/heat shield issues for anyone having problems. How do you all like your intakes? Post some pics/vids too!

I had chrome in the threading, but it was really easy to overcome since I had read about it here. Had I not known, it may have been a problem. Also, I received a 3.5" and 2.75" coupler and no smaller hoses. After emailing the manuf. I quickly received them.

Is that the issues with the hoses?

I don't recall having issues with the heat shield. What was that about?
