i don't think people know exactly what these hoses are meant for....it's not just to look good...there's actually a performance side to it too....
when your track racing, or maybe even spirited driving during a hot summer day....your oem hoses become extremely flexible....and sometimes at higher rpm's, your water pump can actually vaccum so hard that the hoses collapses on itself...causing a restriction or even cut off radiator fluid being supplied to your engine....
^ excellent point. We have actually seen such cases of oem radiator hoses collapsing on themselves. This is part of the reason we always recommend upgrading to samco hoses.
