Whoa, that is way lower than I tought it would be..... I will have to make sure that my wife knows not to drive through any deep puddles when she drives my car.

Have we seen any pics of the black one and I missed it?

that is pretty low. That is like the set up was in My S2000 Aem. A lot of people hydro locked their cars because they drove through puddles. Drive carefully and you will be fine

I think we need to define puddle....

As found on Wikipedia.

"A puddle is a small accumulation of liquid, usually water, uncontained on a surface. It can form either in depressions in the surface, or directly upon the flat surface, held together by surface tension. A puddle is generally considered to be small enough to step over or shallow enough to walk through, and too small to traverse with a boat, raft or submarine."

Now that is open to some interpretation as to how deep a puddle really is; or can be.

With stock suspension, my G is almost 10 inches from ground to bumper bottom. Now looking at the inner fender, the underside and the front of the car, I would have to agree that you would need to hit about 12 inches of water head on to suck in enough to cause hydro lock. If the water is that deep, you got other issues to contend with....

I do still have the concern in one part of my brain, and mainly because of my wife also drives the car...but again by looking, you would need to be in a DEEP puddle to hurt your car.
