Z1 motor mounts

Just installed a set of urethane z1 motor mounts on my g37x. Love the way it feels when driving but that thing vibrates like crazy when in park or braking at a stop. I’m gonna see if I can raise the idle up 100 rpm when I get it tuned, it seems like below 800 rpm is when it starts to get crazy and tries to rim my dashboard and interior apart. Anyway just curious how everyone else’s experience with them has been.

I have noticeable NVH with the Z1 transmission mount, but no real added NVH with their poly motor mounts installed a few years later. Granted, I have a 6MT... different experience.

Good to know, mines awd so the transmission mounts different I was thinking about having someone just weld up my stock mount to make it solid but idk if I could deal with anymore NVH during idle.

Your transmission mount might be toast and allowing metal/metal during the conditions you describe. Check that first, replace with another OEM rubber one before starting to add stiffness (which always adds NVH).

Didn’t end up changing the mount seemed fine when I got a better look at it the play I felt was the normal amount didn’t realize until I got the new one. So it still sucks at idle

Change it anyway if you have the part. The rubber wears out over time, and not always visibly.

If I were to tell you the a solid transmission mount would make this vibration worse would you spend $150 on this or the same money than an OEM one?
Asking for a friend.

So my check engines lights been off and on for a while now which is why I have bothered checking the codes but I decided to check them yesterday and I have a code P2A00 bank 1 sensor 1, so I’m checking for exhaust and intake leaks thinking that vibration could just be a rough idle at low rpm’s
