Review K&N SRI Typhoon intake
K&N SRI Typhoon intake
Yesterday i installed the K&N short ram intake so id like to post a little review on it.
Unboxing: The intake and filter recharge kit were packaged very nice everything was wrapped in plastic and all the hardware was in a separate bag. The only thing i have a question on is that it came with a dyno sheet for a stock 370z which showed a dyno graph of it netting 14hp and like 13tq not sure how true it is.
Install: the provided instructions helped a ton! they were very detailed and explained everything to a T the only thing i suggest is install the heatshields to the intake before dropping them in the car. my hand was to big to try to come behind the shield and push the bolt threw. besides that install was a breeze and very simple.
Driving impressions: The first start up sounded stock,i let it get to op temps and gave the throttle a blip.I could hear the intakes now
.... moving on to taking it for a rip the rpms seem to go up smoother and faster i also feel like 3rd and 4th have more "bite" to them,im sure my car needs more time to adjust and whatnot and as for the sound....LOVE IT! it sounds amazing from low to high it just cracks at WOT and sounds awesome cannot wait to pair this with an ark catback.
i diddnt tame many pics but i have one ill post of the finished product...feel free to ask any questions you might have.

You think the heat shields help at all? I just couldn't justify spending 500+ dollars on a cai... future plans are intake mani catback and hfc and a tune the intakes won't hurt me or make me lose power will they?
