Swap to 6 speed manual from 5 speed automatic

Those of you that have swapped out the automatic transmission for the 6 speed manual, what steps did you have to take to ensure the TCM or ECM doesn't freak out due to the absence of the auto trans? Also how did you mount the clutch pedal assembly?

Edit: I have a 2008 G37 Coupe Base Model, also I know this is a hard job, I want to do it. I also want to keep my specific car for personal reasons so I don't want to sell it just to get a manual.

The car will have to be tuned for the automatic lights CEL's to disappear. You can jump the neutral sensor and AT detent switch for the car to start and drive however it wont truly drive like it's supposed to until it's reprogrammed.

For the clutch pedal, you have to line up the pedal to the fire wall and outline the outside of the pedal as well as the holes for it. For the top bolt it will require some welding of a nut or thread to hold the rear of the assembly in place. Folks that dont want to go this route usually drill a hole through the wiper cowl and insert a long bolt through. Once inside check how much of a gap there is between the pedal bracket and the top of the firewall and place spacers in between until satisfied.

Good luck.

Thank you, would I have to go to a Nissan or Infiniti dealership to tune it, or can I go to a good tuner to get it done?

Find yourself a good tuner in your area. Almost all good/ reputable Uprev and Ecutek have knowledge on what to delete and adjust when it comes to manual swaps.
The dealer WILL NOT help you.
