Hi,

Bought this 08 g37, ran fine for a couple days, then a coil pack got so hot it melted. Right after that the fuse for ecm, coils, and a few other sensors blew.

i replaced the coil and the fuse and the car ran again for a few more days.

now same problem again, another coil pack got so hot it started melting and the fuse burned again.

this time it was so bad the actual battery fuse burned.

im so lost as to what the issue is. Makes me want to sell the car but who would buy it in this condition

Any ideas?

 

Sounds like the power wire that goes to the coils is grounding off some where. The insulation has chafed and is probably rubbing on the car frame is my guess
