I'm getting ready to replace my clutch but I need to know whether my jack stands are tall enough to provide clearance for the transmission on top of my transmission jack. Does anyone know the height/diameter of the bell housing?

 

I'm not sure the height but if you tell me what kind of Jack's you are using maybe I can tell you if in will clear

 

My jacks will have the car 20 inches off the ground. And my transmission jack will hold it 7 inches off the ground. So if the transmission bell housing is less than 13 inches i should be good. I'm guessing it's like 18 inches but I don't know. I may need to get some higher jack stands but I'm hoping i don't.

 

I'm more than sure you will need higher stands. Mine are 17. Same stand. I had to drop it off the stand and still raise the car more and drag it out. The housing is huge
