Can you disable AWD for dyno tuning?

I am suppose to tune my car today, but my buddy said he has never tuned a awd VQ. Ive been reading that there is a fuse on the driver side the disable it, would this be the right way?

^ I’ve done this exact modification to my car and had plenty of proving it works so far. Not too sure how much it’s going to like it considering front wheels are stationary while mine are moving, but this should work for you.

that being said, I can’t be held responsible. Good luck!

Why risk it? Surely there's a tuner with an AWD dyno.

Yeah, Tony at DMT just keeps the front wheels spinning off the ground even with the fuse pulled or switch activated. Part of the reason my numbers showed a bit lower than they should have. Whats amazing is he tunes 900hp GT-Rs the same way. Im considering renting an awd dyno and have Moncef remote tune it for my retune.

man I’ve message dmt a few times last year and like 10 times the last 5 months, and I never gotten a reply. Messaged admin tuning got a response within 5 minutes so I went with him this week.

Weird, I messaged him 2 days ago and got a reply last night. I guess because I'm a returning client maybe.

They tuned a supercharged vq, ignored the customer's concerns, disabled safety systems including the knock sensor to make more power. The customer sent logs directly to ecutec and got confirmation the tuner bypassed systems that would have prevented the failure. It's common to reduce the sensitivity of the knock sensor in a boosted motor to make up for additional engine noise that can be read as knock, but you're supposed to measure knock with a third party device to make sure engine is healthy.

Admin has a huge following of fanboys who refuse to look at the facts and are blaming the owner, but if you lay it all out, huge letdown on the part of Admin.
