Drive Shaft Flexible Coupling

Hello, i just want to share my finding about the replacement of the driver shaft coupling. The thing is that you can't buy it separately for G37. But a Toyota part is the exact fit. Part

number 37511-30020.

Thanks for sharing this!
Who knew that a part from a 4th generation Toyota Supra fits the G37... However it is CRAZY expensive at $200+

Thanks for sharing! I just had to get mine replaced and had issues finding this part without having to buy a whole drive shaft. It really is funny that a MKIV part fits the G37 but as long as it works!

What was wrong with your coupling? was it starting to tear? driveline vibrations? Just curious!

Weight should not matter as much as alignment and fitment. So far two positive reviews.

I wonder how the OP came across this. BADASS BTW

I wasn't clear which G37s use this rubber coupling, so I dug into the FSM.
It is only used on the rear wheel drive, sedan/coupe with the automatic transmission.
The FSM calls it the "Rear Propeller Shaft: 3S80A-R"

AWD G37s and manual G37s don't use a rubber coupling in the drive line.

Yeah I've got one on my 7AT. It's not in great condition hence why I'm looking to replace it. Going to go do the output shaft seal (it's leaking), center bearing, flex coupling and diff bushes in a oner.

By chance, did you replace the nuts and bolts or re-use the old ones?

+1 to the toyota bushing
did it on my 2008 g37 coupe, GCC specs, sport grade with all premium options (essentially sport premium, we didn't get a separate sport premium here in the middle east), worked like a charm
old bushing was cracked and worn, had loud noises from the propeller shaft especially when braking
even my mechanic was surprised it was an exact fit
reused the old nuts and bolts and washers, one washer went missing so we replaced with a new one
I consulted a guy that works on propeller shaft rebuilds, and he was like yep as long as the fit is fine and the quality is good, it's all good
my diff bushing was blown so I recently replaced it with a whiteline poly bushing, tho since then I'm starting to get weird clunking noises here and there, especially when turning
could be my CV joints or something else and not the guibo, will update u in case it's the guibo that's causing an issue
do note I drove the car for 2 weeks straight with the new guibo with a blown diff bushing and it was all good, no weird noises or power loss issues

2013 Infiniti G37 journey sedan driveshaft and flex coupling.

After weeks of research, this automatic rwd driveshaft is a "run to failure" driveshaft. Parts are not available anywhere. Infinity wants $2000.00 for a complete driveshaft assembly. But there is a solution.

Dorman driveshaft #NB-976-70163 inch, Drive Shaft, Rear Driveshaft Assembly(Mfr. #: 976-701) at a cost of $950 is a perfect fit. You will also need to purchase the flex coupler that is also a perfect fit for $100.00.

Toyota part 37511-30020.

Hope this info helps, it was a tough find...
