Anybody from SoCal changed their valve covers lately ? Looking for shop suggestions & estimated cost.
Not too bad but I see signs of oil leak on the driver side and want to take care of this soon.
My '08Gs has 88k miles and thinking about having both L/R covers and spark plugs done at the same time.

A couple of month ago noticed signs of the leakage on the driver side and this week while driving noticed a quick misfire at around 4k rpm.

Dealer quoted me 600 roughly 190 in parts 410 in labor

I called a couple of different Nissan dealers and I got quoted $480 for the valve covers and if I want to do the spark-plugs its $580.
Pretty reasonable I think.

 

So I finally got around getting this done. It was starting to misfire and I did find a little bit of oil in a couple of sparkplug tubes.
Purchased all the items from Z1 Motorsports and got it done in about 8 hrs
Hardest part was the drives side because of the wire hardness right on top of the cover.

With 98K miles I also did the spark plugs
All the parts were $240
Sparkplugs
Valve cover gaskets
Tube seal gaskets
Plenum gasket
OEM RTV
