Motordyne Art pipe - Ceramic coating and wrap

Hey guys,

I have read plenty of reviews and watched almost every video online on them and I know there will be rasp after the install
My set up will be Art pipes + Motordyne CBE

I was thinking of sanding these down and applying heat resistant ceramic coat and then wrap them with a header wrap to eliminate the rasp and that tinny sound I hear in the videos.

The reason why I want to apply ceramic coat is to eliminate the potential rust that comes with exhaust wraps - Water will make it's way thru the wrap and destroy these expensive test pipes. (Seen it happen plenty of times to go that route)

Do you think this effort will help eliminate the rasp or am I wasting my time sanding these down and painting/wrapping them?

Any knowledge or experience that you can share will be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance

Do not hack up those beautiful pieces of art.

I don't think you're wasting you're time at all. I should have done it like this in the first place. I've had my wrap (also sprayed DEI high temp spray on top) on for 4 years now and it's showing it's age. Some rust spots on the ART pipes. I want to get them re-finished but just dread the removal and install. I truly believe it helps with the rasp but that is my personal experience.

Yeah that is exactly why I'm a little skeptical with this plan - Don't want to destroy these beautiful pieces of art haha

I don't think the DEI high temp spray will help because moisture will still find it's way thru that (I think)

Can you tell how much did it help with the wrap and without. I can't wait to install this on my car

It helped but I can't really gauge how much. I think it's worth it.
