Oil pressure light flashing but no check engine light

hi all...2009 g37x with 193,000 miles just started to have the oil pressure light come on. It only comes on when the car is idling or not in motion. As soon as I drive it or rev it a bit the light goes off and stays off while im driving. The check engine light has never come on and the car is not going into limp mode and never has. There is no noticeable performance decrease and the oil level is completely full. I've seen on here that when the pressure is low due to the galley gasket failure that the P0524 code would display and the car would go into limp mode. This is not happening. Thoughts

It looks like your oil pressure switch is malfunctioning. Replacements are under $20 and they are easy to change.
*** Just don't over tighten them, the factory spec in only 11 foot lbs ***

This video will how you where it is located and how to remove it:

While it could be as simple as a pressure switch going bad, a 2009 with almost 200K miles on it, I would strongly suggest you have a oil pressure test performed just to make sure the infamous galley gasket isn't failing. Just because there is no limp mode or CEL'S does not automatically indicate this particular gasket is not failing.

If I have to guess the galley gaskets are toast. But you already got almost 200K out of your car, so it's not bad at all. I have seen people with ~70K miles with busted gaskets.

Thank you for the suggestions. I had a chance to get it to a mechanic this morning and the oil pressure is normal. Held steady at 14psi at idle for 25 minutes and was fine under load. I had a factory sending unit installed and so far so good

I did find out though that a slight rattle under the car is coming from one of the cats so I gotta replace that. But pretty happy I avoided the dreaded galley gasket. For now

Yup, my cats are toast too. What are you thinking of doing as a fix?

Prob gonna replace it eventually. Its only the left one. I know it's a costly repair and I just got a 2 year emissions pass so it's not necessary but I hate that dang rattle...lol
