2009 infiniti g37xS sedan code P0524 HELPP

Hey everyone I was hoping you guys could help me out with a problem I got with my 2009 g37xS sedan automatic. My sedan starts jerking when I go over 2200 rpms and and there’s also a service engine light that comes up on the dash. The code coming up is P0524 which I thought was a malfunctioning oil pressure switch which I had replaced. But the problem did not go away. I have reset the ecu and the car drives fine for a couple miles then starts jerking again. I hope it’s not the infamous timing chain gaskets. Any info would help thanks a lot 😭😭😭

Is that the only code you're getting?

How can I confirm that it’s actually the oil galley gaskets? Is the only way to tell by running an oil pressure test?? Could it possible be dirty or faulty maf sensors?? Because I believe you also get codes P0011 and P0021 when you have a blown oil galley gasket. I’m not sure though

The other codes are for the cam timing solenoids which are oil-driven. Your oil pressure may still be high enough to not trigger that warning but your overall pressure is too low.

If you search this forum for "oil gallery", you'll get plenty of reading material. There are suggested steps you can take that are a lot cheaper than the gasket replacement but I'm not optimistic they'll solve your problem Good luck.

Okay so since I’m not getting the other codes that means my camshaft position for both banks are good? What else could cause a low oil pressure besides the galley gasket

As I wrote, search for "gallery gasket" in this forum, you'll find diagnostics you can perform.

Check the gasket. Everything at this point seams to be leading that way, get a oil pressure tester on there and see what it's doing
