Need help with my build
So quick introduction. My name is Korby, and I’m currently serving in the Air Force. I bought my 2011 G37x back in October as birthday present to myself. I’m living in Oklahoma where there is a huge race scene. I’m trying to build my G to perform. So far I havent done much due to work, but I find time when I can.
Currently I have:
Muffler delete
Takeda LTCAI
LED Yellow foglights
as you can see I haven’t done much as I’m fairly new to building my own car up. So if you can please help me on what I can do to add some power to my car (other than tuning because I don’t think it’s ready yet).
Thanks everybody,
Infiniti Forever.

Welcome... i have Berk tech HFCs and Ark Grip exhaust (sound is AMAZING) with the tekada intake, along with an Exedy stage 2 3 puck clutch and just dynoed at 321. So i am impressed with power and torque just from some simple bolt ons. Whatever you do, get a tune done by a good tuner. Send pics and info as you do your build.
Do you have another car to DD or is the G37 your only vehicle?
Cat-back, CAIs, testpipes, tune, tires. After that, power gets expensive. If you really want to race your X, FI + transmission build by Level10 in Jersey. Again, looking at a very expensive endeavor but you still aren't going to crack OKC SO's top 5 list lol. Check out L8tch's build thread (the black pearl) to get an understanding of what you'd be signing up for if you go the FI route.
I found it's best to look at the G37x as a jack of all trades but a master of none. It's a great car at just about every category but you aren't going to have a drag or track monster out of the box. If that's what you're looking for, I recommend you consider another platform or pick up a cheaper used car (a la G35/350Z) and build it for that specific purpose; as it would be a cheaper undertaking.

Primarily I want to welcome you and thank you for your service. My "nephew" is also in the Air Force currently stationed at Langley. Sadly, he is into the Detroit Muscle scene but I wont hold that against him... he's only 20.
There are plenty of decent folks here who are all very helpful. I am sure you will get tons of useful advice. Good luck with your build!

Best advice I can give, coming from 13 years in the USAF and USAFR, is to pick up a ~$2500 beater to drive around when you do more major mods to the G. I tried to daily drive my RX7s for so long and had so many issues with getting to work on time. I ended up moving back on base and using a bike as transport, which sucks in the rain, goretex or no, when my cars were all on jackstands. Bought a beater Accord for $600 (this was 1995) and then no more worries. You need to play the game of being in the military well first, then you can do more or less what you want.
