Just Curious, Auto Trans Related

I know there is a flash available to help with shifting issues and overall driveability with the 7at. My 2010 G experiences the common issues with this and only 68k on the ticker. Its actually gotten sometimes to where its dangerous. For instance coming out of a parking lot on to a busy road and theres opportunity to go quickly when not quite coming to a complete stop,, hit the mash pedal and nothing but then bam and it goes.... Getting the flash may or may not help and there is only one Infiniti dealership in my state and its miles and miles away. Anyways, I decided to disconnect the neg battery terminal and see it that would help. Seems like maybe it has. Curious if anyone else has done this and maybe this is an alternative fix for the goofy thing?

I don't think its an alternative to the reflash but it seems it might help by resetting things and the car having to go through a quick relearn. Give it a week and see how it is.

Maybe try cleaning the throttle bodies then doing the appropriate resets:

I cleaned the Tbodies 500 miles ago. Was hoping that would do it. Have also drained and added new trans fluid. Same same. Do these cars have a throttle position sensor? Has anyone ever suspected these things as the culprit on this rather than the tranny?

If you don't perform all of the procedures after a cleaning, you're bound to have issues. If you haven't done them, I'd perform them first to see if the drive-ability improves. The video linked explains how the ECU will compensate throttle position when carbon build-up occurs. Only issue is, once it is cleaned, it doesn't reset itself. I actually didn't do this when I first cleaned my throttle bodies and was experiencing all kinds of erratic behavior until I performed all of the resets.

Also, if you haven't been through it yet, give this thread a quick read through: https://www.myg37.com/forums/engine-...ga-thread.html

Discusses the flares and delays you're probably experiencing.
