Pulled the #6 plug

Changing the plugs and find this lovely sight

Oil in #6 plug cavity. Not excessive, but not good.

I imagine that's a head gasket and plug o-rings at a minimum. Anyone deal with cost on this? Not sure if it's worth tackling myself.

Thanks

Why assume head gasket? If the o-ring is leaking, just pulling the plug through the pooled oil will cover it like that. Do you have a photo of the electrode?

Isn't that a bit personal...at least but him dinner first.

Electrode looked okay. Bunch of carbon buildup on that whole bank. Oil was only in the plug hole, not in the cylinder. Maybe I'm thinking valve cover gasket. Would that not need to be replaced if getting to the O-ring for the plug?

Also a movie depending on the plug.

The amount of oil was minimal, brief spot of white smoke on initial start after doing the plugs. She runs great measuring by butt-dyno. Hopefully the pre-det will be much less as well when under load.

You can replace just the seals on the G37 and not have to change the whole valve cover (unlike my second gen G35 sedan the earlier 1st gen g35), but you probably should change the valve cover (not head ) gaskets when you do.

Next time seafoam the car via brake booster and add what's left into oil 100 miles prior to oil change

I'm also voting valve cover as well. Seen the same thing on my old Audi, and similar things on my Ford truck.
