G37x auto low rpm vibration/performance
G37x auto low rpm vibration/performance
Whats up guys. Have an 09 g37x with 126k miles. Trans fluid was serviced at 100k at dealer. Today while was driving to class, I was crusing in traffic at about 25-30mph and the rpms were at 1000. I barley tapped the gas to accelerate and this buzzing/vibration occurred. It went away after the car downshifted for acceleration. Since I was at 1000 rpms I am assuming the car was in the highest gear when doing this. This actually happened over the summer a decent amount of times but out of nowhere it went away. The dealer was no help as they couldnt find anything wrong. I think it may be somthing with the torque converter.
This only ever happened over the summer at 1000 rpms when I barley gave the car gas. It did not happen Every time, just sometimes. At least once in my daily 40 minute commute. Whenever this would happen, if I accelerated hard, the vibration goes away. Apart from this problem, It really seems like this transmission hates city driving. This vibration has not happened since the summer and just happened again today. I also notice the trans today was very rough while I was in traffic. Downshifted pretty rough and felt jerky. I have no idea what it could possibly be.
Its weird, some days my car drives perfectly, then sometimes it has it's off days. I haven't clean3d my throttle bodies since 108k, could dirty throttles effect the throttle response and mess with the computer? I haven't driven again yet today so I am unsure if it will vibrate again. I am in need of am allignment and wheel balance but I dont think that would cause this problem. There is no loss of power or shaking when this happens, it is for a second then goes away as the car accelerates. Also, my left exhaust tip is a little bent and is barley touching ther bumper. Unsure if that has anything to do with it, really feels like a transmission problem. Thanks.
