Something rattling in engine
My car drives great but there is a slight rattle like something is bouncing when I am in a low rpm or in a braked position but still in gear, you can actually feel it on when placing hand on manifold. When my car is idling while in park or neutral the sound doesn't occur. I've had other friends with g37s give me suggestions as if it's bearing rod or hydraulic pump. It's almost sounds like something is loose. Doesn't sound like most videos I've been seeing on YouTube. *clink*clink*---*clink*---*clink**clink*. I had a bit too much engine oil in it. About half a finger nail but I don't feel that would be the cause.. Again my car drives fine when on the road and moving. If anyone has had the same problem and has a solution. The help would be greatly appreciated.
I will post a video today showing the noise.

I had removed the transmission and torque converter myself and had it checked professionally because I thought that was the problem as my car stalled twice in a row one day. I received my transmission back and was told is was in perfect condition. As I installed everything back together. It ran great and I had it smogged the next day. Then the noise occurred 3 days after.
I will go under again ASAP and record the noise to give you guys a better idea.

I did take it to a multiple mechanics to have inspections and they all didn't want touch my car because they said everything was fine with it but as an owner and driver of my car I knew they were wrong. I took it to the dealership were I had originally bought my car but since my car 77, 000+ miles the warranty voided. They said they would charge me 750 to take a look but if no one else can find the problem I feel like they want to rip me off because the guy didn't seem too enthusiastic about it.
Sorry bud. Mechanics said trans and torque converter were fine after you removed yourself. You chasing a ghost. Sounds don' always mean somethings broken. Car shifts fine drives fine no codes. Drive it enjoy it fix it when it actually breaks.

I may be overthinking it but I'm just used to my car sounding smooth and not like a loose bolt jumping around. Drive throughs and stop lights are annoying because of the loud sound. I guess some loud music and bass will fix it for now😎
Before the fact that I pulled it down. My car stalled twice back to back and would not move unless I pressed the gas a bit then put it into drive. My assumption was that the torque convertor was the problem like if it wasn't making my car move...if the car is in PARK no noise is being made so I'm pretty sure the engine is completely fine because everything is moving in it... Now if my car if shifting fine then transmission is fine... Something in between is the problem. Pulling the transmission is no problem as I'm a techy kind of guy and if I can do it without spending a ton I will. I also have the help if my father with 35 years experience in mechanics. Pulling transmissions down isn't a problem.. If you were hear in person you would really think it the torque is the problem judging by the sound. I pulled it down and had the torque converter checked with the tranny and I was told everything was fine but the torque converter had some overheating burns on it. I never replaced it just only put it back on. Everything is back to how it was before I pulled the tranny down. So main reason I pulled it down was for the torque converter. Honestly the guy could've lied to me and I just don't know it. At this moment I'm at lost for words.
Im really curious on what it is this "Ghost" I'm chasing but I hope I find it. Sorry waisting your guy's time on this issue. I'll keep you guys updated on what I find out. I have an appointment on Saturday at infiniti.
