Clutch master cylinder BS - vent

So i go to bleed my clutch because it looks like its never ever been done and after the first good bleed the pedal wont come up and wont hold pressure. I then notice not only wont it hold pressure but no matter how much you pump the pedal the fluid never goes down. Although if you pump it just right by manually pulling up the pedal it pulls in a tiny bit along with air and builds just barely enough pressure to release the pressure plate.

So this means the CMC is shot and it probably has a leak internally thats sucking air rather than fluid. I hop online and just barely manage to get the part ordered in time for overnight. Then i go to remove the old one this morning and run into some serious BS trying to unscrew the hydraulic line from the CMC. Theres barely enough room to get a wrench in there but all i accomplished was to round the dam nut. Ive read people saying they unbolted the ABS block for more room but ill be damned if anyone can get a wrench or socket on the one back inside bolt to be able to remove it. So now im here in a whole load of poo desperately trying to figure out how to remove some parts just so i can get enough room to get some vice grips on the hydraulic line bolt to unscrew it.

life is just so damned screwed up sometimes. Vent over..wish me luck!

I actually ended up buying a vacuum bleeder and got it sorted. Clutch fluid swap made no noticeable difference in pedal feel which is what i was trying to improve. Old fluid was black black black too. Guess it wasnt a complete waste of time since its new fluid and at least i now have a new CMC for when i swap out the clutch this winter.

Do you have to bench bleed the slave cylinders on these cars? Also curious what mileage people are hitting when these suckers fail...I've heard as early as 40k :/

My '10 had 60K on it when I bought it back in May. A trip to the dealership told me that the CMC and CSC had already been done once under warranty.
