New clutch possibly?

So I'm having issues with my clutch possibly? I shift gears just fine there is also no smell of anything burning but when I'm driving and I give it a good amount of gas my engines revs but there's like 1-1 1/2 second pause before my car actually accelerates. At first I thought there was an issue with the engine so I did the basic maintainence (oil change, new spark plugs, air filters and some fuel injector cleaner) but still same issue... Well then my coworker mentioned it could be the clutch they said to try a burn out or go like 25 mph then hit the gas to see if it takes off, but yes there was a stall and pause the car just doesn't go when I hit the pedal till like a second after. The engine revs high but the car takes a while to go. So what do you guys think?

Is it for sure the clutch?... Can the clutch be fixed or does it needs to be replaced? If so, what are some good clutches to go with and where could I find some good deals?...

Also on a scale of 1-10 how difficult would it be to change it and is there videos that show how to swap it out (I searched on you tube and found one of a g37 but it was a really sped up video, also saw a video of a 370 clutch change not sure if it would be the same as the g37?)...

Also let's say I go with a stage 1 clutch would it wear down other parts of the vehicle such as the master and slave cylinder?

My car just hit 100k miles it's 2008 g37s coupe 6MT... is that normal for a clutch to wear out (assuming the issue is for certain the clutch) I don't race my car or drive crazy. But I do ride the clutch I'm usually stuck in traffic somewhere.

Sorry lots of questions! All help appreciated thanks!

Do you hear chatter when you don't have the clutch pedal pushed if you hear noise it's time to replace it with throw out bearing

Sounds like you need a clutch. If you go easy on it it could last quite a while before you HAVE to replace it.

I replaced my clutch @2 months ago. I went with the South Bend clutch kit from ZSpeed. While changing the clutch wasn't too hard, I did have use of a lift, the new clutch was such a close fit on the input shaft it took us 3 tries to get the transmission stabbed back into place.

For the amount of time it takes to pull the transmission, I'd suggest to replace the clutch master and clutch slave cylinders while you are in there.

Quick and dirty test is to go for a drive, pull out east and shift early. Get yourself to an incline (where you'd usually downshift to a lower gear) and without downshifting press the gas to the floor to accelerate. If the RPMs skyrocket without the car gaining speed then your clutch is getting to the point of needing replaced.

So how do you like the clutch so far? Is it noisy? Did you also have to change out the flywheel? ... so my slave cylinder went out about a year and a half ago so the dealership replaced both the master and slave cylinder. Do you think I should change them again?

Zero complaints. After install I had a slight bit of chatter low in the RPM band, and it's either gone away or I don't notice it anymore.

Yes, I did change the flywheel. I'd say if you plan on keeping your car a longer period of time, it's cheap insurance to go ahead and replace them. I went one step farther and went with the external slave cylinder, so if it goes out, I don't have to pull the transmission.

All told, I think I had about $2000 in parts to replace/upgrade my clutch.

Nehro, I am having the same exact problem as you and I do believe the clutch is the problem.
There are a couple of diy videos on youtube. One that I recommend:
It's a 2 part video and he does a great job explaining everything. It makes me want to do the work myself.
Now I just have to do some research on what other parts will need replacing while the tranny is out.
I will most likely buy all my parts at RaceConsultingAgency (RCA). They deal will lots of Infiniti owners and have the best prices will fast 2 day shipping at no cost.
