Transgo Shift Kit issues

Hey all, it's been awhile since I posted here. As the title says.. I installed the transgo reprogramming kit on my 2008 G37 coupe. The transgo kit should fit this transmission.. Since it is still a Jatco 5 RWD transmission. I've gotten about 9 hours of sleep in two days and I've dropped the pan 3 times already. First time I dropped the pan, installed the kit, then went over smooth, no issues at all whatsoever following directions to the T.

Then issue then was I couldn't shift my car into any gear other than park, it simply wouldn't, (dummy me already filled the trans fluid in) come to find out the little safety switch pin wasn't in its groove that allows gear change. Okay.. Drained fluid, lined it up, perfect.. Got in the car before I filled it (I get wiser as I get older) car shifts through the gears perfectly with the valve body on, well slightly stiff. Fill with trans fluid put it it gear and guess what?

The car barely moves. Put it in drive or reverse and I have to put the rpm's to 4-6k to get it to slightly start moving (not drive able at all) checked fluids the next day.. Suggestions came to me it might be low.. And it was! So then I filled it up until the line was correct, and still nothing.

Before someone says you should have taken it to a transmission shop for install, I realize that now, and that won't help me. I just wanna see if someone; here has done the install, ran into similar problems has any solid suggestions of where I might have been wrong with the install. Any help is greatly appreciated. I want my car back.

Thanks guys and gals,

Tyler

Hi, yeah I did mine probably a couple of years ago now.
No Issues at all, sorry, no idea whats wrong. Are you checking the fluid level with the engine running?

I have the same issue. Did my upgrade this weekend and now it won’t recognize any gear other than P. Going to drain the fluid and drop the pan to check the PNP switch.
