A wonky heat shield? I've had plenty that have rattled sporadically at varying intensity and volume.

my cabin smells like rotten eggs/sulfur in the mornings, so Im convinced it's my cats. Someone told me it could be this though.

If you're smelling exhaust gases, it's probably because the cat. converters are shot or you have a hell of a leak.

I had the similar sound in my car. Engine & tranny just died, and is now in the dealer. Please let us know if you find out the culprit.

That is extremely concerning.

I had this problem in my G35 a couple years ago. I thought the cats were going bad. The smell was downright rotten when I'd back out of my driveway. Thought I was going to have to plunk down a big chunk of change for new cats.

You know what I did? I STOPPED BUYING $HIT GAS.

After a couple tanks on Shell the smell was gone. Unless I'm in a pinch (and if so I only throw in a couple gallons to get me by), I steer clear of anything but Shell with my Q60.
