Please forgive my ignorance, but what is the craze over the TommyKaira stuff to begin with? Not saying anyone here is, but maybe I can get some insight since we are on topic. I understand it's custom AF but I don't get it. I know the history and all but are they the Carroll Shelby of the Japanese auto world? I've seen some of the custom cars they've come up with but are they exclusively oversees and can't be had here? Please nurture my ignorance.

TK started off by making one of a kind custom cars. Now, while they still do that, they release super limited edition pieces for select cars. We are talking about a run of 9 or 10. They really are sort of like the Shelby of Japan in a way. Except instead of just tuning and customizing incredible cars, they create one of a kind (well, 10 of a kind) pieces that are of the highest quality and prestige.

Their cars are so awesome, they are often features in the Grand Turismo games, and are just known in the industry for being friggin awesome lol.

If like when a company releases 100 cars of a certain model, and everyone throws their money at them in order to get one of those super rare cars. TK is similar to that in a way. Although they still mainly create masterpiece cars, selling interior products is just a side gig.

Gotcha, so it's like Shelby within a Shelby exclusive. I appreciate the insight because I just did not understand the hype over that damn turtle - and it's not even an actual vehicle or part but a sticker or something (you know what I mean). I still don't get it, but I can say I understand now if that makes any sense.

Pretty sure the JAP guys have TK ***** in stock don't they? They were able to get TK to do a run and have been able to get the Top Secret team to do several runs of items.

I have tried repeatedly to buy one of the MT-AT shift adapters from those parts ninja guys. I was even willing to buy the upcoming TK Titan Baby release. However, after seeing how they do business I can do without. I am not going to bash anyone but they will never see a penny from me. I won't tell them where they can stick those damn turtles.

Plenty of other options out there, and vendors.

I don't think it does, but the biggest problem (for me) is the shift pattern is printed on top and it's totally wrong for the G.

Only modification required is to add a couple of grooves to the shifting lever for the clip for the GTR **** to sit in (same that needs to be done to install an M45 or Maxima ****). This can be easily done with a hack saw or even a serrated steak knife. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

Not sure how you can say the shift pattern is totally off. Both go from P > R > N > D (Auto) > M... only part that is a bit off is the manual mode shows the opposite direction on the GTR **** (says Manual mode is right instead of Left). But if you don't already know the correct slot for your **** without looking then something's seriously wrong. ... Also probably why the OEM **** doesn't even have the shift pattern on it.

Oh, and there's also this handy indicator in the instrument cluster that tells you if your in Drive or Manual with what gear your if that sort of information interests you.

True this.

Also i did not make any modifications to gwt the gtr **** on. No clip needed it latches on to and locks.
