Hi folks. I have a 2008 G37s Automatic. 45k miles. Backed out the driveway this morning. Put the car into drive, the car still reversed. Park works. But every other gear makes the car reverse including neutral. The cluster reads the correct gear selection. Shifter moves fine. Reverse lights only light up in reverse. No noises. Oil is good. No leaks. Linkage seems fine. Never had any issues with car. Any ideas? With no warranty, im afraid of what the dealer will say. Will be calling in the morning.

 

my best guess without seeing the vehicle is theres an issue with the valve body or perhaps something is binding or not releasing in the valve body internally such as a check ball.
