I haven't got an official diagnosis yet but after I had the car looked over and they directed me to the source, I can definitely say it's where the cat meets the exhaust manifold on the driver's side or it's the cat itself. The car is my DD and I have no back-up at the moment, so I can't drop it off for the day somewhere while it gets looked over. I'll get it checked out over a weekend, since I'm also interested in a custom exhaust, but it won't be for awhile. Just been too slammed with getting the new home in order and now we have Easter creeping up.

I was just happy to hear it wasn't the motor. Just something I realllllllly don't want to have to deal with right now. I'll have it looked at towards the end of April, maybe the 22nd if all goes as planned so I can get a diagnosis and post it. If you're able to get it checked out before then, please feel free to post here. If not, I'll update in a couple weeks.

 

Updating -

Took the car in for an AT flush and the dealer heard the rattling.

Diagnosis: Cat was falling apart. Being replaced under warranty this week.
