Interesting, I am tempted to have the pan dropped and then filled with Amsoil Fuel Efficent ATF. I can get 10 quarts for around 105. Perhaps after that I would do another change at 189k.

If the Infiniti/Nissan dealer I chose does a full flush with pan cleaning, I would be very interested in that.

You will need more than 10 quarts to do a 3x flush and fill. Likely 12-16. I'd suggest valvoline maxlife synthetic. It's $18/gallon at walmart, meets Matic S specs and It's proven to work by several forum members.

I might just do that. That is a great price and probably close in quality. I usually don't do my own underneath stuff. I will probably have either my shadetree or this other shop I know do it. I will be there to help and pay. I found a filter and gasket from partsgeek for under 20. I figure my car will need a gasket. The fluid has probably been changed before, I just can't guarantee it.

Do you have a part# for the AT filter? That's one thing I haven't been able to source, seems like Infiniti wants that kept a secret along w/ that gasket of death inside the timing cover And FWIW I used the Maxlife ATF w/ good results this far, bought 4 gallons.

There technically is no filter on the AT. . it's just a meshed screen piece of metal.
