Throttle lag, no acceleration
Throttle lag, no acceleration
Hey guys I'm new to this site. Wondering if anyone can help me. This has been happening for about a month now. I have the coupe x and I just got my uprev tune with indiva HFC ark grip CBE and injen CAI. The car ran great and I definitely felt a noticeable difference with no problems for about a week.
A week later after my performance tuning and such, my battery died. After having it replaced, a week after that I noticed a loss of acceleration and acceleration lag with a high idle around 800-900 rpm. When acceleration from a stop it seems normal till about 3000rpm then np throttle response when at WOT.
I reset the ECU which would fix the problem but it would return after some spirited driving or just driving in manual mode normally. Any ideas?

A dead battery, and re-setting the ECU wont fix your problem. What tends to happen from time to time with aftermarket intakes on a stock tune, is that it allows better air flow over stock, at a minute difference. However the difference is enough that the engine realizes its pulling more air in, and cuts to reach the appropriate numbers. This usually happens around 3,000 RPMs.
Make sure your tune is properly uploaded to the car, by resetting the ECU, flashing the stock map, resetting again, then flashing the tune. After that, let the car idle for a good 10-15 minutes from a cold start before driving it so it can re-learn trims.
