10:1 vs 12.5:1 compression ratio makes a big difference on knock sensitivity, even direct injected.

Mobil 93 AKI

I generally buy from the Mobil dealer on the corner of Medford and School streets in Somerville, MA. He's generally the cheapest seller of Top Tier gas near me.

If I happen to be near Dedham or Danvers MA, I fill up at Costco.

I only run gas with an AKI of 91 or greater in this car.

I run a blend of 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases.

Correct. I've only seen 93 AKI in Mass. 91 AKI is common in Upstate NY.

Are there Stewarts shops as far west Rochester? The Stewarts in the Capital District sell ethanol-free 91 AKI.

All 93's are not equal. I can attest to that when tuning my mazdaspeed 3 that it would run like crap on some 93s or even at certain gas stations. It is always smart to stick with the same station when tuning so your mix is consistent.

Nope. Syracuse, but not Roch or Buffalo.

I use a Sunoco corner store that sells ethonal-free 91 Octane and the occasional bag of Cheetos.

Only one station here in town that has 93 octane but I always go there anyways. Not just because I'm getting 2 more octane than the others but it's a QuikTrip which I prefer over all other gas stations I've been to. The atmosphere and people that work there are fantastic. Just kind of a personal preference.

I've always pumped with 93. There's plenty of gas stations around me with 93. There's literally one 2 minutes out my neighborhood.

Mainly Sunoco 91 Premium. Sometimes I throw some 93 Shell in there when I could use a little V power up lol

I only get 93 solely because I hardly empty a full tank in a month so there's no point getting less once or twice a month. Also, I have all the major bolt-ons without a tune and feel as though its just safer until I get them tuned together. As for brand, V-power or Conoco only.

I use only 100 or 98 octane fuel. I tried 95 couple times to check the power difference...
The difference is minimal.. Just to play safe, i'l stick with 100.

For anyone wondering:
RON AKI
91 87
95 91
98 93
RON is octane rating used in much of Europe, AKI is common in Canada and the US.

I know that... i posted the values in fuel ratigs that we use here...and most of the world
btw! I noticed a small difference when using Gazprom and OMV fuel compared with other fuels...
The engine make less noise with Gazprom and OMV fuel. The power is the same, just less noise.

93 from BP or Exxon. My car doesn't like Shell V-Power for some reason, I don't get much out of a full tank.
