Help 08 g37MT Clutch issue
08 g37MT Clutch issue
I have read a bunch of descriptions of clutch issues with this car, but I am experiencing a couple of novel issues.
1. Clutch fell to the floor on my way home on Friday. I was able to nurse it back home (4 blocks) by lifting it with my toe and shifting into 2nd. After turning the car off and pumping the clutch, it no longer falls to the floor. There is pressure, but only at the very bottom of travel.
2. No fluid leak or loss as far as I could tell. Level was exactly between L and H when I looked. Topped it off and nothing changed.
3. If I start the car and push the clutch, I can move through the gears but releasing the clutch does absolutely nothing (no catch, no stall, no noise).
4. The tension on the clutch is weak and about half the normal travel. It feels like there is a very slight engagement point, but it does nothing.
I've spoken to a couple of shops and the are confounded by these symptoms (especially being able to move it through the gates with the broken clutch depressed). Can anyone tell me what might cause these specific symptoms.
Thanks!
