Intake Plenum air routing

I'm curious how air is routed to the combustion chambers from our intake plenum. Do the left and right side intakes feed different cylinders or is there mixing?

I was just cleaning my throttle bodies yesterday and couldn't exactly tell just by shining a flashlight in there.

Each throttle body flows into 3 cylinders, you can tell which ones by the angle of the inlet. Here's a link from Z1's site but you can Google "G37 lower intake manifold" and it'll show a bunch of examples.

Good to know. I just cleaned my throttle bodies and seeing how much oil residue was in there, I wanted to do a top engine clean. The PCV inlet seemed like the most accessible spot, but was wondering if i went through one, if it would only get to half the engine. That answers that question.

Yeah, many people use Seafoam to clean anything further than the throttle body but everyone has mixed opinions about it.

I use berrymans. Comes in a kit with a regulated line for induction through a vacuum port. It's also a much better cleaner than seafoam and doesn't produce the giant cloud of smoke
