Gearbox G37S Coupe
Gearbox G37S Coupe
My manual transmission G has 47000 miles on it. Recently there was some scatter noise coming from the gearbox when in neutral. After some searching in the internet it seems the possible cause was a worn dual mass flywheel. So I ordered a JWT kit (the heavy version) and also a crowed CSC and new item master cylinder. Very short after the parts finally arrive the clutch pedal went to the floor and the CSC was dead.
Today I removed the gearbox. Besides the squeaking flywheel, It also looks like the clutch plate is almost worn. Strange for that mileage...
Anybody seen that before?
Second, is it normal that there is some (sensible) backlash when you pull the axle that goes into the clutch up and down?
Thirth is the driveshaft. The slip yoke (part that goes into the gearbox) shows some quite deep scratches on the outer surface. Does somebody know what can be the cause and how to solve it?
The driveshaft is a non serviceable part so it needs completely replaced. But what about the bearing which I think caused the scratches, is this replaceable because can't find it in the parts database.
