Just make sure your car has the infrastructure (i.e. the connector) for them before you buy 'em.

For those that have done the install, did you order the hardware from the dealer? Or were you able to utilize all the stock hardware? The instructions linked specifically say the hardware is not included.

From: Framingham Ma,
The paddles with come with everything, It should only take you 45 mins . I've done it a few times so take me less than 30 mins! I dont remove the wheel either. Just the column shields off and new ones on. The hardest part is popping out the know for the electric tilt

The kit i'm thinking of buying does not include the screws. Are those existing screws that are already on the car or do I need to reach out to the dealer and get those?

Didn't you but the kit in the FS section? He said it came with the screws and nuts, I honestly don't remember using screws for anything???? The paddles are held to the column with the nuts. they're just a normal 8mm I think. Oj Yea, yea the little hex bolt. It doesn't have them?

From: Framingham Ma,
I'm sure you could find the screw at the auto store unless the dealer is inexpensive.

I'll try the dealer. I'm sure they won't be too expensive. I've never had good luck finding small metric bolts / screws at my local auto parts stores.

old thread brought back to life....I've been searching, I've got a kit I'm installing on my 2009. I'm having real trouble getting the bottom panel off. I've looked up every how-to video and pictoral and they all just say 'remove bottom cover'. I got the top to finally pop up, it felt like I was about to break it.

The bottom though - it just doesn't seem to want to release or something. I think I can then wiggle the thing out if I can get it to sort of release. I used to be a real wrench but I'm surprised how difficult this is to remove.

Any tips? Do I just put on some gloves and yank it hard?

Did you remove the three (3) screws that secure the bottom cover to the column? This video may help:

...and I solved my problem. I found this on a 200 page paddle post on g35.com

"It was a little difficult to remove the large lower steering column housing. After unscrewing everything(including the samll cover and bracket underneath) and seperating the lower housing from the upper trim, turn the wheel 180 deg from neutral (it is now upside down), push the front of the lower away from you (towards the dash) and downward to disengage the small lip at the front of the housing from the back of the steering wheel. It will then drop down and can be pulled toward you to remove. NO brute force or bending required."

that was it, push the cover forward, toward the firewall, which got it past the little lip and it came down. Some wiggling and I got it out. Hope that helps someone else.
