G37 coupe won't shift out of Park

So I have this 2007 G37 coupe that has been wrecked in the front. To tow it I had to borrow a dolly and pull it home. It is an automatic so I had to disconnect the drive shaft. When I connected it, the gear box would not shift out of park unless you get something thin and put in the hole that releases the gear shifter. What could be the problem? is there a certain way you're supposed to connect the drive shaft? Another thing when I was towing it to the shop, I had the drive shaft connected so I had to disconnect it again and when I would turn the drive shaft in neutral to get better access the wheels would spin but keep spinning even in reverse and drive. Is that normal? Please help

Putting aside that you’re in the wrong forum for this sort of thing, please be reminded that the first G37 coupes were sold as 2008 models. I can understand the confusion as my early ’08 was made in in August 2007.
