6mt Trans upgrade?
6mt Trans upgrade?
Just curious if anyone knows of any performance upgrades/builds for the manual transmissions. pretty much done with engine and suspension upgrades and I cant find any kind of manual trans builds, thanks for your time
The transmission can withstand very high levels of horsepower. Its life is more dependent on the clutch disk you have, and making sure your master and slave cylinders are heavy duty.

Youre good bro. Just move on to something else to modify.
While not a transmission upgrade per se, this here is certainly a worthy 6MT upgrade:

Also, some people replace the tension spring on the shifter, with very minimal effect, AFAIK:

And of course you could replace your shifter for something designed for a shorter throw:
Nissan 370Z Short Throw Shifter
If your clutch slave cylinder hasn't failed yet, you could get ahead of that problem with a proven aftermarket model:

And I suppose you could swap in a different formula gear oil. Redline MT-85 is very popular.
All that stuff is peripheral, because as stated, the tranny itself is pretty solid.

If you haven't already bought a clutch pedal spring from jsolo I'd highly recommend it, also bleed your clutch system and replace it with gtr brake fluid to get a better smoother feel from it. Other option is mtec shifter springs for the side to side movement of the gear lever for smoother gear changes. Just a few ideas
What modification did you have to do to get the Wilwood MSC to fit or did they come out with a G37 MSC recently and I missed it?
When i ordered the spec super twin it had a hydraulics upgrade kit for another $399 i think it was. It came with the upgraded csc and wilwood msc. It had a aluminum plate to adapt it to our cars and all steel braided lines. Let me promis you, it is way larger than the oem!!!!The most difficult thing i have done!!!! Took longer to do the master than the clutch lol

You have a link to what you bought? I doubt I'd have the room to run (my boost MAP sensor and Greddy Gauge box are now in that compartment too) it if its as big as you say is but nice to have options.
SPEC Clutches & Flywheels: Auto Parts, Domestic, Import, Truck, Racing, Drifting
Results By Car its an option on there for the hydraulics upgrade. It doesn't give specifics about what it is, but the wilwood os what i recieved
