Replacing clutch soon - what else should be done?
After doing additional research, I decided to go with the South Bend Stage 2 kit. It comes in on Tuesday.
I also called infiniti parts and asked about them about the input/output shaft bearings. He had no idea what they were and said he would call me back with more information but never did. Hopefully I can go in on Monday and get some more additional information.

It's funny, one time when my brother had taken the car to that same mechanic he mentioned the input shafts as well (I get notchy and rough shifts sometimes). Maybe when he drops the trans we'll understand what the true problem was.

I'm curious to know too. I don't believe the bearings are accessible without tearing the trans down. It's possible some of the bearings are pressed in like the engine rear main. If so, I can see those possibly getting changed out.
