GTR intake manifold conversion kit
GTR intake manifold conversion kit
A local performance shop near me has been doing some very interesting things lately. They're building a CNC cut closed deck VQ37VHR bottom end. They're designing some really nice single turbo kits. Their latest project is a GTR replica upper and lower manifold that will bolt on a VQ35HR/VQ37VHR.
I asked about group buy pricing and they said 15 buyers and the kit would cost right around $2000. I'm waiting for official pricing but I figured I would get started early to gather interest.
PM me if you would be interested in a kit like this and I can help facilitate a deal potentially. Mods, please let me know if I'm breaking any rules here.
Below is a picture of their CNC cut manifold. It reuses stock throttle bodies and replaces the upper and lower intake manifolds. Throttle body positioning will change so adjustments to piping will need to be made. The kit will include gaskets and everything needed to bolt on.
Performance benefits were geared around boosted applications. It is being designed for use with their closed deck block in hopes of achieving 1500hp.
NA benefits are yet to be determined.

Man I'm not a baller by any means. Lol. I just had an accident on my birthday that seemed aweful at the time. But unbeknownst to me....the mod Gods were smiling down and giving me a rather large birthday present. All hail the mod Gods! Hope that doesn't offend anyone, I'm only having some fun.
When I start my engine bay project....and see the HP gains for NA....I might be willing to spend $1K on one. I realize that's extremely wishful thinking on price. Perhaps you could find a totaled out GTR and buy the part from that Ryne! Me too!
this part is still being developed, but should be available in the near future if i had to guess. i've heard some test fitting occured earlier this week at another shop close to me (owner mentioned it when i went to pick up my car from said shop.) and the fitment was great.
this will be a really nice addition for boosted cars (especially when you get higher psi for cars with built motors, since apparently the stock plastic manifolds have a tendency to crack), but thats a hefty price after you are already spending big bucks on turbos/built motors
