Sub 5 second g37 - what parts?

we've got a stock G37 Journey that we really enjoy so far. But I'd love to get it to under 5 secs 0-60. How possible is this with some general bolt ons and not using a S/C?

Can it be done with a cold air intake, exhaust and uptune? Or what do you think it would take to make this possible without breaking the bank? also trying not to do anything major that would void the remaining warranty. It only has 18k miles. So, worst case, bolt ons are removable if need be or a nice dealer who is fine with anything that isn't the cause..

Probably a Stillen Gen 3 intake, a good cat-back exhaust like Fast Intentions, 4.10 rear gears, and an Uprev tune and you might be able to get < 5 seconds.

6MT or 7AT?

Stillen G3 Intake
Fast Intentions Exhaust
Uprev tune by Seb at Specialty Z

I'm always under 5s

But I have a 7AT, you can't with a 6MT.

Lol thanks for the replies everyone.

It's a 7AT completely stock. It sounds like CAI, Exhaust and UpRev is a good start. I was considering going with the Takeda though so I do not need to do any cutting.

There's an UpRev Tuner in Smyrna, TN. Im in Nashville and it's the closest one. Gage Performance, they are listed as a ProTuner on the UR site. So hopefully they know what they are doing!

Any other suggestions? Haven't looked into changing the gear ratio. Will look into the 4.10s and see how much that would be.

I guess I should have mentioned that I have two kids and the interior must remain stock. This is more for me fun, but I can't go all out and lose as much weight as possible.

Really just wanted to add some fairly simple bolt-ons and see what I could get out of it. Only mods so far is stainless steel ***** and GTR start button, lol.

Does the gear swap require a new driveshafts? That's a pretty decent price and most of the comments I saw seem to indicate it's a good upgrade.

So I was doing a little research and it appears the Takeda Stage 2 CAI is for the the coup only? So what's the best alternative? Stillen? I hate the thought of having to cut into parts, but if it's the best available...

Also, what about Exhaust? I've seen Stillen, ARK and Fast Intentions as options. Are all of these pretty comparable overall?

EDIT: One more thing. It sounds like the 4.09 gears may be a bit too much for general highway driving. Sounds like it'll rev higher when doing 80 or so. I noticed some people talking about the 3.69 being a better swap and increasing performance some. I found a new differential axle on ebay from a frontier, but it says "THE RING GEAR AND PINION ONLY BE USABLE FROM THIS, THE CAGE YOU MAY HAVE TO RE-USE YOURS. THE CAGE MAY BE THE SAME BUT THERE IS NO INTERCHANGE OR PART NUMBER FOR IT TO VERIFY. THE RING GEAR AND PINION ONLY FIT:" It list my model/year and appears it would work. Is there anything else I would need other than the ring gear and pinion? Does that sound like it would work?

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to post and see if you ever got your vehicle tuned by Gage Performance.

They are close to me and I am interested in having them tune my G.

Sent you a pm as well.
