6 speed synchos question..have south bend clutch installed.
Bought my G37 and the owner had informed me the clutch was done about 6,000 miles ago with the south bend kit stage II. He said had everything done including fluids.
Car drove great when I met him and had it checked out(was warmed up), sat in my garage for a month and registered and started driving last week, seems good minus when the transmission is cold its difficult to get into 1st and 2nd for about 15 minutes. Once its in first 2nd is fine, or if I start in 2nd its difficult to get into that as well, every other gear is butter and I love the gearbox and clutch kit.
Details: is 0-20 degrees when driving, warms up for a couple minutes before driving, just hit 47,000 miles.
I'm not super concerned, I searched and saw some people had issues with synchos, was looking to see if swapping to Redline fluids may have a benefit on this?

I see..well i think its worth changing the fluid for starters and piece of mind. I guess ill follow up and report back after doing this in a few weeks.
Is it grinding or just hard to put it into gear?
You can try this to test if it is the synchro:
Run first gear up to 5k rpm, depress the clutch and hold it in, once the rpm drops back down to idle try to engage second. If it grinds you have a bad synchro.
Otherwise it could be the transmission fluid as you said it gets better once the car warms up.
