Ok , my rear diff mount has leaked out and the only options are replace the rear sub frame or pull the diff out and replace the front and rear mount bushings with white line bushings....... Are there no other options? Seeing as how I am trying to put kids thru college and still drive a nice car, can I not buy some time and temporarily repair the rear bushing until I can afford to do the job properly? .....what if the liquid fiilled bushing could be pumped full of liquid polyurethane and allowed to harden???? Seriously thinking of attempting this, it would all be contained within the stock bushing any how.

If you can't afford to fix it, why not just leave it alone altogether? The car's still driving fine isn't it? Trying to refill it sounds like a horrible idea to me.

I have filled bushing mounts with 80A on my Acura. Did the job. As a temporary thing you should be ok. Mine lasted 3 years then I replaced the mounts.

Solid fill will be windshield black glue they use. We used it for WRX tranny bushing.

How many miles are on your car? Mine just went at 43k and just a month from the warranty expiring. The dealer has the car and is waiting for the Area Service Advisor to get back to him. They do have to replace the entire subframe which cost $2200! I have my fingers crossed.

Diff bushings all start leaking silicone after only 20-30k miles. However it doesn't mean they are unusable. Some people never replace them even after 200k miles. Whiteline polyurethane is a much better product than silicone filled rubber but there's a ton of labor involved because you have to remove old bushing and one of them is especially hard to remove. If you do a lot of hard launches and track days, then whiteline is a good choice. For day to day driving I wouldnt even worry about it.

Did they replace the entire subframe? As mentioned, the bushings are very difficult to remove/replace by themselves.

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but:

I had mine replace under the Infiniti Elite Extended warranty coverage, if that's what you mean.

If you're asking whether Infiniti stepped up to the plate and extended their coverage of it because it tends to fail . . . . BAHAHAHAHAHA that's a good one

Infiniti will replace the entire subframe which is a huge waste of time and money and their stock bushings will just fail again. If you are going to do it, do it right and get whiteline or solid bushings.

It's a little firmer and less wobbly on hard acceleration, feels about the same when doing normal driving.

I had it go out on me at about 40,000 miles had the dealership installed new one under warranty and about a year later it started leaking and went. My Service guy said ehh not worth paying to put that in. Its fine as is. And yes to put that in, wow is a lot of work!

The service manager just told me Infiniti would cover mines.
However, it looks like this is the "weak link" in this car, especially if you want to drive it hard. Mine is a manual with a few runs down the quarter mile, so I'm sure that didn't help. Anybody have an auto with this issue?

For what it's worth, I'll have the them ask the tech about how he feels about installing a different bushing.
