Totaled G w/ Stillen supercharger

Hey guys, I know there was a thread on this car before, and I've seen it on eBay for a few months now. I'm wondering if there was any reason people found not to buy this? I was thinking about buying it and putting the supercharger on my car and then trying to recoup some money by parting out the car. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated

You could definitely make your money back and walk away with a supercharger (probably pretty close to free). I'm sure people are hesitant since it would be a ton of work, require storage/work space and then you're left with a frame that can't be used. If you get it i'll take a few interior parts off your hands. I say take the leap!

Could always be damaged. You can see the charge pipe in one pic and it looks pretty banged up.

Or the car won't be much value without it. But I think it can also be the seller not able to remove the entire kit which will reduce the value even more.

I would take a stab and say at that price you can break even by parting out all the goods and I wouldn't count on profiting much from it. The thing you get out of it is the experience and knowledge of reverse-engineering the car

I'd be happy If I could buy it, replace the parts needed for the SC, and end up about 2500 out of pocket. Good deal for a SC in my opinion. Of course my car is stock, and i'm actually taking my motordyne exhaust off and putting stock back on. I know i'd need supporting mods like oil cooler and trans cooler (7AT) so that adds on as well.

It probably has a nice exhaust as well to accommodate the SC...injectors too. The ECM is probably also flashed for the SC tune. It would make it relatively cheap to get into a SC fore sure. Parting it out would be a burden, but in the end, you'll probably make out OK assuming the SC works just fine.

Also look at the pic of the floor it looks like there may have been water damage from a flood as it looks quite dirty. That car came from Florida so most likely was in a flood. I've been watching this auction since I got my G37 in Sept actually as it's somewhat local to me to see if price would ever go down but it hasn't yet.

If you do, let me know. I need some interior parts. A little over 5k for a supercharger? C'mon man. Do it. You will make your money back on the extra parts.

Seems like a decent idea interior looks in good shape. You would definitely be able to recoup with a part out if you have storage, time , and disposable income I'd say its a good idea not to mention I'm sure users on here would be all over parts of that car. Good luck with choice

yea plus shipping, car is 4 hours away. I'm just worried that I'm going to need to replace a lot of items with the supercharger kit. Like the oil cooler and stuff like that, charge pipe, that stuff adds up too. And if the charger itself is messed up then i'm stuck with a car I need to part out.

I also don't really know how to price any of the parts either, that would be another issue. I'm really considering it though.

I pm'd 2 users that are with stillen, waiting for a reply from one of them before I get serious about proceeding.

You've got 5 days to figure it out.
