Paddle Shifter Differences by Model Year?
Paddle Shifter Differences by Model Year?
Hello,
I want to add paddle shifters to my '12 G37x coupe. I was looking online at oem Infiniti parts and found that the earlier paddle shifters (2009) were ~$150/set while the newer ones (2012) are $350/set.
Is there any difference between the two?
Can I use an "older version" with the same results?
Would the earlier paddles fit using the newer column shroud?

The stone colored paddle shifters are less expensive than the graphite. Stone (tan/grey) are about $150 and graphite (black) are about $300. They are interchangeable if you don't care about color or have way to change the color. The reasoning is that the black paddle shifters are shared with the GTR and that supposedly warrants a higher cost for the same part.

That may only be true for 2009, but 2012 tan paddles are $50 more expensive than grey.
