bos3ayd,
do a search regarding what steeper gears will do for your car. It isn't cheap... I've purchased a differential with VLSD and a driveshaft so that I can exchange this on my car.
what it does is it increase's torque multiplication to the wheels. your car will pull harder and be quicker, 0-60 / 1/4 mile... but you must be diligent with the parts you purchase or it won'e work...

the diff can be purchased from ebay. the front diff gears are another story. you'll need to see if the frontier gears will work for you. these will be a nissan part. just be sure that the front and back gears are the same ratio. do not have them different or it'll tear your car apart...
do lots of research... you will be the first if you pull this off...

Nam, hijacking this thread comes to mind. But, simply remove the bottom under shroud, loosen the clamps and drop the filter. However, if your car has an oil, power steering or a transmission cooler then removing the takeda air filter could be a little more involved. Good luck. p.s. Moderators, do your thing.
"bos3ayd, How much are we talking about and hat exactly are the parts may i ask ?"
if you have an awd, you'll need ring and pinion gears for both front and rear axles. These MUST match. The cost can be upwards of $1k for each set, rebuild kit for each diff, $$ i'm not sure, depending on what gear ratio and where you buy costs will vary.
If you own an auto and go beyond 3.692 then you'll need to purchase a new rear diff casefrom a MT car(ebay has these). You must be able to bolt your drive shaft up so you may need new yokes or even piece together one from 2 cars. Upwards of $1k for a custom driveshaft. Then the labor for your mechanic to modify your car beyond the OEM specs...
I am installing a MT diff from a 2012 370z with VLSD, 3.692 gears, driveshafts to make the match to diff and tranny, new bushings and I'll be in about $1300-$1400 when I'm done. There are always unseen costs... The car will be quick when it's done. I've done this before with a 72 SS Chevelle. The car was already fast, and with the gears it was a beast. I went with 3.90's and I could burn rubber at will and at about 35mph by double clutching...

If you dont mind droping a couple more bills.i would like to chime in. Either fast intentions long tube headers which would minus the ark hfc and ur stock headers. Or you can get the z1 headers with either 350z/g35 test pipes or art pipes. And do the following m370 intake or z1 then get a tune. If you dont mind getting an underdrive pulley to gain a bit of top end. You could also consider upgrading and adding some cooling products to help the engine reduce heat. Cross the pulley off the list since you have it already. If your not planning on going with headers at all then go with the art pipes to pair it up with the m370 manifold. Also i could be wrong but dosent the ark hfc only work with 6mts ? Unless your car is a 6mt or im assuiming its a 7at. So you can scratch that whhole header part to. I would definetly go with art pipes if you want the most gains.
