6MT clutch sticks to the floor sometimes

My clutch sticks to the floor and then releases sometimes. its only for a brief moment. its almost out of warranty and im bringing it in on monday but im afraid they will not be able to recreate the issue. theres nothing worse than that because the dealership sometimes charges you, i really hope there able to find out the problem. I read that its a commen issue on the forum, has anyone got this fixed and if so how is the car now? my car has 50000k almost, how often is the clutch fluid supposed to be changed?

There's a TSB on this. They'll flush your clutch fluid and replace it with GTR fluid.

fluid replacement is usually done at 60-100k miles but if it looks cloudy and dirty replace it ASAP. Sounds like you have the master/slave cylinder issue. hopefully when you take it to the dealer it can be duplicated, otherwise try to take a video of it with your phone to document to show them (only when safe to do so, IE not moving or parked)

Please use the search, I know the answer is in the forums because I've found it and I've made a post about before.

I did search and read about the issue, I just wanted some advice and wanted to see if anyone got any good results from bringing it in to the dealer. i read on the 370 forum someone replaced their slave and still had the problem later. i hope they replace the slave and the master cylinder. I think they willl offer to sell me a clutch as well since the tranny will be dropped but I dont know if I will replace it since its only half worn.

I don't know the TSB #. I do know that it was done to my car when they replaced the clutch. A simple search will find the TSB #.

It is the SLAVE cylinder you most likely need replaced. Unfortunately, the trans gotta be dropped on cars newer than 09 I believe. With fresh new fluid, it wont do it anymore.

Just brought the car in to the dealership today and they will replace the clutch fluid to the gtr fluid as the tsb states. It came to 500.00 dollars in the end because it's not considered warranty. I really hope that this is going to fix this problem for good. Apparently these cars are a bitch to drain fill and bleed the clutch fluid and takes a long time.

What your car is under warranty, why is this not considered under warranty? Dealership is playing you..500$ to change your clutch fluid..wow

what else are they doing for $500? a simple clutch fluid change is under $100, so they must be doing other work.

I went to pick up the car this morning and now they said that they ordered a slave cylinder and are gonna replace it on warranty on Monday now. My car is an 09 with 50000k and was purchased June of 09 so my bumper to bumper is done I think but I still have powertrain. I'm glad there gonna fix this I hope the new slave is a better revised one as well.

I get my arc hfc s and grip cat back installed tomorrow morning. Will all this have to come off to replace the slave? I'm just worried that it won't be 100 percent aligned when it's all put back together. Should I wait till after the repairs to put on my bolt ons?
