Reset the ecu via taking the negative terminal off the battery for couple hours or by doing the factory reset pasted below...

https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-installations-modifications/175792-easy-way-to-reset-ecu-without-battery-disconnect.html

Or get an OBDII reader and see what the code is and then remove it.

A local Autozone or O'Reillys type shop should be able to read the code for you.

Service engine soon light has nothing to do with oil. Don't reset it until you've read the code and know what's wrong with it so you can get it fixed. If you are under warranty your best bet is to let the dealer handle this.

Had it checked by that computer and it said there was something with the sensor located on a place where air and fuel are mixed. When I asked what's wrong, the technician or the mechanic did not know, so he just turned the SES off from the computer.

Any1 know anything about that sensor?

The air and fuel are mixed in the combustion chamber inside your engine. Those explosions are what makes your engine go. There aren't any sensors inside there. Either he didn't explain it properly or you aren't. Perhaps an O2 (oxygen) sensor maybe?

As I said earlier, it's important to know exactly what's wrong. Some things yo can simply clear it and turn off the light and be done. Other things it's very important to actually fix what is wrong.

I don't understand, are you saying combustion is important in an internal combustion engine?

I'm saying that I hope it is nothing rather than something. If it's nothing then he's all good. If it's something, clearing the code isn't the same thing as fixing it. It's like airing up a tire with a leak. It only makes it better for a while but it's still going to leak until you find out why it's leaking and patch or replace it.

Yep the technician cleared the code and maybe he was referring to fuel oxygen mixing valve sensor or something.

Anyway the SES light hasn't lit since so I think it's good for now, what I want to ask you all is how do I get that transmission update?

My car is 2011 g37x and it has that transmission lag every1 is talking about. Whenever I floor my gas pedal while cruising it wouldn't shift to the appropriate gear and the engine rev just starts to climb from maybe 3000RPM.

The Nissan dealer here in Mongolia, don't have any upgrade on ecu and transmission nor do they know how to do it.

Please help

wtf? the technician doesn't know how to diagnose this code? are u kidding me. i haven't seen a map sensor on a nissan/infiniti because they tend to use a mass air flow sensor which calculates the absolute pressure of the engine. you will need to determine which air mass is faulty. ck the wires at both air mass sensors and l would monitor air mass readings on your scan tool. theres certain parameters when engine is at idle and when engine is driven with load. another way to diagnose which air mass is faulty is monitoring the oxygen sensor readings on lt versus rt banks and the long term and short term fuel trims.
