Service engine soon G37S

Hello everyone , I just bought a used G37 coupe from DC and I'm ready to go back to my city which is 6 hour drive and my service engine light turn on just before taking the trip . Should I go and check my car at the car shop or it's okay to drive 6 hour until I back home and check my car there

Very likely it's OK to drive home with it. That light is often emissions related. For peace of mind you can get it checked at most any shop and also many auto parts stores and they'll tell you the code and possibly what it means. Or you can simply google the code as well.

However since you just purchased it, I'd suggest going back to where you bought it and having them read the code and fixing whatever it is rather than you doing it since you just got the car from them.

I know when I first got my g the seller told me that the gas caps need to be pushed in pretty hard while closing them or else you will get a check engine light for a small evap leak happened a few times to me all I did was tighten the cap and it went away after a short drive
