Automatic G37 Sports Mode

Automatic G37 Sports Mode
This may be a stupid question, but better safe than sorry... When using Sports mode in a automatic G37S do you have to use the paddle shifters or the stick shift to shift up and down? Or can I just put it in sports mode and let the computer shift for me. I read up on It and it is supposed to shift before red line and that's what it seems it does, but if I'm supposed to be shifting while in sports mode or using the paddle shifters I don't want to hurt anything by using the sports mode as a automatic I guess.. Sorry if this is confusing haha. basically do I have to use paddle shifters or can I just drive it like any other automatic, but in sports mode

You can just leave it, But over time it will drive the "D" The car will learn that you are slamming the gas all the time and the shifts will become soft.. I never use "DS" or "D" for that matter I use the paddles all the time and drive like a manual car.

You can drive it like an automatic in D or DS. I use DS when I'm driving in the mountains or on a road coarse or when I need to get in and out of traffic quickly.

I live in Chicago and use the DS mode all the time because it downshifts when braking like if you did it with a manual. I love to hear the exhaust sound, one of the main reasons I got my G.

DS mode is just D with more aggressive shifting. Be careful if you are in DS and you happen to nudge the shifter up or down slamming it into a manual gear.

G37 with the sport package is FAR from a boat.
My 37 Sedan outhandles MANY cars on the road.
Boat? Try driving this Chevy Impala I got as a rental while my G is in the body shop....THATS A BOAT

Downshift rev match is standard. When you downshift it raises the engine's rpm to closely match your engine's speed to where they would be in the lower gear at your current speed.

Started with a good question and has turned stupid.
I can't believe you can drive these cars with the paddle shifter all the time, it's so awkward.
A boat....really.
