OP, I think you should get a tune such as Uprev that can bump your redline up to 9K, sit in your driveway in neutral or park, and go to town. Hold it there as long as you like, this engine loves to rev! Screw these stupid haters.

I can rev past the 5K limiter that's found on the 7AT coupes. Also, tpms light is from new set of wheels. Just haven't reset it yet.

This is best performed with little or no oil in the crankcase...

And for ****s and grins, remove the air intakes while you're at it too. Right?

It appears to me from the photo that your car is in neutral, not park. Of course you can rev past 5K.

I can almost hit 7.5K in park too.

Good question. Can you post a video of you holding at red line for like 5 or 6 minutes continuously? In park?

That would be a negative when under no load. I revved up to redline to prove my point that you can rev past 5K in park.

Guys, why all the hate?

I mean, how else is he supposed to put up his new youtube video. OP, just get that RPM right up to 7500, fill the airbox with small pebbles. It makes the car sound mean.

It appears that yours does, but I have an 08 6MT and its got the "idiot limiter" on it where this isn't possible. Which really is wasted on me because I know better than to do it.

i believe that the 08 model of g37 is the only one that has no rev limiter. 09+ cant rev pass 5k on P or N. i know definitely that 2010 cant.. i tried so many times
