Starting steps

Ok so some of you know about my SC taking a dump, Stillen is going to warrenty it, But I'm still thinking about making some changes. I "MAY" or "MAY not" Send it to 928 Motorsports for the Impeller upgrade but either way I see in the future me adding something for more HP. We all have heard the rummors about the heat soak issue the Stillen kit has in the summer, So I went ahead and grabbed a upgraded heat exchanger from Frozenboost.com. Lots of american guys run these, SVT mustangs, Lightings and a few SC Camaros, The price was really good , Under $170 shipped and pretty big at 26x7x3.5.

I hope you ordered the exchanger with the inlet on one side then the outlet on the other. If both on same side you may need to buy new hoses and reroute the coolant lines. Making the bracket shouldn't be too hard and mount it behind the crash bar but you might have to mount your oil cooler else where and with your car being an 2011 with bumper fog lights it's kinda hard finding another location. You have the 19 or 25 row oil cooler?

Well can't wait to see your final product then. When I was running the STILLEN kit I was looking at the same setup too but never happened because my car never ran correctly.

Also keep in mind if you install this in front of the oil cooler you need to watch your oil temps as air flow would be drastically reduced from going in there.

Good luck bud!

I also looked at the Stillen Exchanger and the in and out are on the same side, So really should'nt be anything other than getting the brackets to work.

What is the benifit of a larger Supercharger coolant tank, Just that more coolant to flow would keep it cooler, I know it sounds dumb, But more to flow through the exchanged is a better way to keep things cool, Just like running a larger radiator? I will have to look and see where I could fit this, I found a lot on Ebay for like 150, Morroso and ETD motors.

I think that a larger coolant tank would do nothing. An engine can only take a certain amount of coolant and having a larger tank would do nothing but have more coolant sitting doing nothing. Bigger rad is a whole different story that definitely helps with cooling.

Opps my fault man, I meant running a Super charger coolant tank with my upgreaded heat exchanger, Sorry if I confused some of us, :/

Know what's more efficient than swapping out to a bigger heat exchanger? It's adding a fan to your existing STILLEN heat exchanger to draw more air. Also you'll need to account that by adding more coolant you may also need to upgrade to a bigger pump. Just my $0.02 cent.

From: Framingham Ma,
Was think about the fan idea, The pump should be fine, I have been poking around the SVT forums and those guys are staying with the stock pump. The tank I'm looking for is just a little bigger nothing to crazy.

From: Framingham Ma,
ok so heat exchanger will be at the dealer tomorrow, and I just picked up the UPREV MAF's. I should have those of Friday, and will be making a APT for a return for those plus a pulley upgrade 10 PSI.
