Uprev or Cobb?

Im debating if I should get a Cobb tune done by Vinny Ten, or an Uprev tune done by Performance motorsports. Can anyone elaborate on these two choices, and give me infer to either sway me in either direction? I have read different things already on some threads. Both good and bad, just looking for some extra info Thanks

I would go with Uprev, but mainly because of what the previous post talked about. COBB isn't supporting our platform anymore, mainly focusing on FI.

UpRev, it's still around and active for Infiniti/Nissan. I think it has more options on the tune too.

Cobb only supporte 2008 and 2009 manual so you don't really have a choice depending on the year of your car. Each has pro's and cons that have been posted before.

If you do have a choice for both, make sure there's a local tuner that will support your choice.

The only reason vinny doesn't tune with uprev is that they won't let him become a
Dealer, he's been trying to become one for quite some time. everyone knows its a far superior product

VTR over charges on most of their work so be careful. But sticking to the question Cobb doesn't support the newer model or the NA models so uprev Is ther other choise

there is no comparison in my opinion. UpRev ftw, by far the superior one.

There's been a bunch of posts over on my350z recently about performance motorsports that would cause me to lean towards not going there... save some money and just buy Osiris standard from uprev. Plus you get the cable

With the Osiris standard, can I adjust A/F ratios how does it work exactly. Do I just get pre made maps by Uprev? I would feel that getting it tuned by a professional would be the better route to take.

With standard you cannot personally make any adjustments whatsoever to the tune. You need the tuner edition for that. You can either get etunes by uprev ( they send you a
Base map then you datalog certain parameters and they adjust it over email) or have an uprev protuner tune it on the dyno.

Or you can buy the tuner version and one etune from uprev to get you started then make little adjustments yourself. Many different ways to skin the cat

Oh this is going to be good. Please tell us what "features" it has for a VQ that Osiris doesn't

Handy for one, saved my butt when I took my car for a Fob reprogramming. CONSULT-III wouldn't recognize my ECU due to the tune and they had apparently got far enough to wipe my FOBs... DOH! Fortunately I had the little bugger in the car like American Express and was able to uninstall and complete the FOB programming and then re-install the tune. Anyone had a FOB reprogrammed with Uprev Tune, be curious if Consult-III would have the same issue.

Next to that a handy device for OBD monitoring, datalogging, and ECU reset. I'd put the tune I got with it up against any results from Uprev. I do like Uprev's faster programming and cruise control map swap feature. I wouldn't say Cobb is better but it depends on your needs or year of G37 actually, for many Cobb isn't even an option. For those that don't switch maps, have an early model G37 and prefer a OBD monitor and the portability, I wouldn't trade it.
